Good afternoon everybody. Maisie and Ellener here; this is our first blog, we hope you like it!
Recently we have visited a few classes to see how their week has been.
Jack (Year 1): I enjoyed writing poems about Humpty Dumpty and we made hats too!
Toby (Year 1): I liked our maths this morning, we had to throw the beanbags into the hoops and see who got the highest score!
Olivia (Year 2): This week we made crab collages and it was fantastic!
Courtney (Year 5): On Wednesday we started to make our animals for the rainforest. I enjoyed making the Harpy Eagle, also we found out that it's wing span is longer than Mr.Edward's height!

It is now Term 5, Week 2 (April 2013)....and I can only apologise for being such a poor blogger!
School is going well! There is lots of hard work and good learning taking place.
I've decided that I need some help to keep this blog more current and have enlisted the support of some of our children.
After a quick demo and some discussion about content, I 'm sure they will be very capable of keeping this blog more up to date than I can.

Busy, but good...
The children have come back to school refreshed and ready to go, as have the staff team - already I've seen some great learning and work. I'm really excited about 'what next?' for our school this year - we have lots of ideas and plans on how we can be even better in 2013.

School is very busy but very productive right now...
Last week, EYFS & Key Stage 1 performed 'Children of the World' brilliantly! There were many teary eyed parents/carers in the audience...the children should be very proud of themselves - a great job!
This week, Key Stage 2 perform 'The Good, the Bad and the Donkey'...and it is going to be a cracker! We have had several absences through illness and both staff and children are coping magnificently...I can't wait to see it this afternoon (and then again tomorrow evening).
Remember, school tea-towels will be on sale as well as raffle tickets, so be sure to bring some money!

'Oh...What a night!'
The recent PTA Christmas Disco was a blast! The children had a fabulous time and enjoyed dancing, singing, party games and a visit to Santa's grotto...do I dare even mention 'Gangnam Style'?!
Well, pictorial evidence does prove that the children had a great night...see below!
Thank you to everyone in the PTA for fantastic evening...the smiles on the faces of the children at the end said it all!
